A motorcyclist was killed in a tragic three-vehicle collision Monday evening in Lancaster, authorities confirmed. The victim has been identified as Adam Curtis, a resident originally from Buffalo, NY, and the owner of AC Tile & Flooring, a well-known local business.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Bowen Avenue and Broadway around 7 p.m., according to the Lancaster Police Department. Preliminary reports indicate that Curtis was operating his motorcycle eastbound on Broadway when he collided with a pickup truck. The impact caused him to strike a westbound SUV immediately afterward.
Emergency personnel responded quickly to the scene, but Curtis was pronounced dead shortly after the incident due to the severity of his injuries.
Police noted that there were no signs of impairment from any of the drivers involved, and speed appears to have been a contributing factor. The drivers of the truck and SUV remained at the scene and are fully cooperating with the investigation.
